indeedy, does it get any more thrilling than doing something supposedly for a friday, on a tuesday instead. i think not! and so a mixed bunch of 'false spring' around the shed instantly snapped by our Ivor.
all kitschy, all fake & all cheering up the shed... and i note upon perusal of the instant snaps, they all have friends close by, how heartwarming on a chilly day. i like to think if i was a mixed bunch of plastic flowers i would have a little friend close by too.

however, Little Olive who is nearly 3 and therefore quite wise, (so she informs me), is not convinced by my 'trickery, faking spring ways' and has declared she will not be coming out of winter hibernation just yet...

How lovely Tif. You have a real knack of flower arranging and it all looks soooo lovely, And how I WISH I had little olives life - sometimes we all just want to stay in bed and pull the covers over our heads and not come out just yet!! (& what a delightful bed to stay in, she has!!!) Kind wishes from N.Z. Julie :-)
Lovely pics! The dog is my favourite as always...:)
Oh sweet little Olive, you do look cute.
What a lot of flowers, love the dear deerheads. I bought daffodils today and the sun has been visiting.

Quite honestly, I think everyone needs an Olive.

Hi Tif,
I think Olive is very sensible staying in hibernation for a little bit longer. BUT I do think she should come out long enough to see the lovely 'Springtime' look you have created.
God Bless

that last photo is hilarious. so cute!! (and i love that vintage sheet, too. :) )
Oh my goodness Tif, Little Olive is so adorable and what a wise gal she is. Your pretty petals are lovely. By the way, thanks to your book, now when i go to the thrift shops, i look at all the little creatures sitting on the shelves and find myself apologizing to them for not being able to take them all home and giving them a new place to live. I swear I can even here them whispering as I walk away:)

I love little olive that is so cute!
I love that deer and fawn vase!
Love Little Olive - reminds me of Alexander McCall Smith for some reason. Have a lovely week x
thank you for your peachy comments and indeed, little olive is positively beaming at them too :)
Little Olive has the right idea-just a few more sleeps until a little leg/tail/head is thrust out of the blankie to check temp of air!!!!
Best wishes

Little Olive just made me laugh out loud! She's far, far too cute.
the last picture reminded me of uggie, the dog in "the artist". have you seen it yet? what a film, you'll love it and uggie would have a ball with olive i'm sure.
Loving the thermos filled with flowers and that dear little dog. Oh my goodness. There's something about little dogs that like to snuggle under covers...
Lovely Bambi!
We need some Spring Sunshine around here! It's stormy weather outside. Your little Olive looks like my Wilma! :-)
