i have not been completely idle for the past week, no, no...quite the opposite, i have been quite the 'hostess', showing my lovely folks the 'sights and sounds' of 'post thanksgiving' nutty sales shopping and also the inside of some craft shops...
inbetween such exciting adventures i have put them to work in my little 'santa sweatshop' rolling ball after ball of 'woolly snowballs' for my mantelpiece...
here's a little sneaky peak...my folks still have much work ahead of them...i am seeing 'an avalanche of snowballs' in my head and my vision needs to realized...
some of you more 'observant' readers (or ones with 'eagle eyes') may note that in the picture there lurks a pesky gnome or two...it was just typical, there i was getting out my 'crocheted popcorn' garland from the christmas box when they escaped...
"blimey Tif" said 'pesky gnome in charge' ("how do you know he was the one in charge?" i hear you ask...well, with my vast experience of pesky gnomes it has become most apparent there is a hierarchy in 'gnome world', all based on 'noses'...he was in charge 'cause his nose is slightly bigger than the others, therefore he has an air of 'in chargeness' about him).
and so 'pesky gnome in charge' with the slightly larger nose continued to speak "i don't remember when you suggested a game of 'hide and seek' last january anything in the rules about us 'hiding' and you not 'finding' for eleven months"...
so that's that, they are now staging a 'sit in' on my mantelpiece, apparently chatting up the pretty girls who quite honestly aren't impressed with their 'uncouth' ways...
and frankly neither is she ~ Tif

I'm in LOVE with the 'snowballs' on the mantel and am now (as usual) totally jealous that I no longer have a mantel of my own to decorate in such a way. No, my project of late is a yarn ball wreath which won't be nearly as cute. CURSES!
pesky gnomes really need to be put in there place....
but i can understand there hostility on waiting so long to be found...
but the time should pass fairly quickly for them...going on the fact that gnomes are quite old and seeing as though time seems to go quicker the older you are it should really have only seemed like a day?in gnome time...
love the decorations...
I do remember the gnomes. I think some other blog commenting on them was how I first found yours. :>
Love the snowballs.
ha, ha or should I say ho ho, remember them from last year and all the havoc they created! Rachaelxo
I am sorry to say that this rather uncouth Yorshire woman has a rather smutty alternative regarding the status symbols between gnomes....it isnt their large noses...having got that ou of my system I love the snow balls..and wait with anticipation for the popcorn garland...with their be instuctions....please thank you adorable puss cat for her email...my ragdoll Alfie cant manage the keyboard...he ocentrates on sleeping crying for food..sleeping..crying for food...a pattern is forming here...wouldnt it be great if we could train them to clean...leaving the in laws to make decorations and look after kids
oh, I was so amused by those pesky gnomes last year!! I hope you keep us updated if they get into any more mischief!!
*gasp* The gnomies are back! I love those guys, I actually used one of your photos of them last year as my Christmas Desktop picture at work :)
I'm so glad those pesky gnomes are back! They're antics were so enjoyable last Christmas.
The 'snowballs' are a great idea! They look really nice on the mantel.
Yay, the gnomes are back! I loooooove those lil buggars :)
ha! i'd forgotten about the pesky gnomes. it's nice to see they haven't lost their sass.
You are so nuts, I was in stitches at that. Poor wee gnomes, stuck in there!
what a lovely christmas corner...
What a lovely mantle and such an amusing gnome story. This is my first visit to your blog but I will be back to take another look. I am also going to add a link to you on my blog.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
