i will be useless today at doing anything...i am surrounded by beefy men and replacement windows. i am totally terrified of what mossy shed will look like with 'white' new windows instead of the 'brown' metal ones she came with. so i am going to busy myself with a spot of painting (nothing new there) and then a dog walk...in the meantime i must tell you how lovely it was to awake to all your comments on thrifting. it warms my heart to think of us all in our little parts of the world doing our 'thrifty' thing...
before i head out into the rain dear friends i must once again share 'India Rose' with you, she came to us via the humane society three years back...i can see now that it was my destiny to walk into that store for some cat food and find her looking for a home.
who would know that years on...we would be living at mossy shed together, me in my studio and her looking just lovely next to a bit of 'orla'...she is my constant companion during the day...the other cats choose to spend their day light hours on various beds upstairs but Indie, she lays her head down never too far from me...and always manages to look 'photo ready'...
she's wishing you a 'happy' tuesday and will return with some curtain news and possibly a snapshot of a window ~ Tif

India Rose has the most beautiful eyes - some cats are utterly bewitching, 'company' cats (as opposed to the usual bog off I don't want your company cats!) and it really does get into your heart.
Especially when they match the wallpaper lol.
She matches your wall paper!
She reminds me so much of my dear old pussy cat who sadly has gone to cat heaven. I love the company of animals. What a prop for your photos:)
Where are you putting the orla wallpaper. I love that and would happily put some in our home if hubby would agree!
i have put it in my studio on a wall that wraps around to the kitchen...i got it from antropologie and i have to tell you it is cheaper there than in the UK, by quite a bit...i had enough left over to do the very small wall in the downstairs loo and also to line a load of draws :)
she is so lovely. my pal cat mr b is usually by my side during the day + last night kept me + hubby awake with his snoring : )
india rose has beautiful eyes. does she know how good she looks by that wallpaper? x
that cat, those eyes, that fabric... sweet matching there tif!
India Rose, what a lovely name for a cat!Gigibird's right, she does match the wallpaper.
oh man, so adorable! she is really beautiful. give her lots of kisses for me :)
The wallpaper is fabulous! I was thinking this morning that we are far overdue to have a bit of tea together, as I have some "bits and bobs" that have been sitting in my file cabinet at work for you since Christmas, but that I FOUND before you went on vacation for the summer. Hurry, I miss you!
Morning! Just found your blog through the 'magic' of 2 hours of endless clicking! With each click saying to myself this is the last one because I've a million things to do...Anyway, you have a wonderful blog! I love your thrifting day, which brings me to a question that you truly don't have to answer but there is a 'Country Village' south of me (I live about an hour north of Seattle, WA) and my curiosity wonders if that's where you found your treasures!?! In my rambling roundabout way I'm looking forward to more of the wonderful pictures you share! It sounds as though you are building a craft studio? BTW~love the lamp you found and I'm wondering what shade you plan to dress it with?~~~Dona
dona, how lovely to have you stop by my little blog...yes, the country village is in bothell, north of me...it throws up a few treasures from time to time :)
as to my little 'treasured' lamp, i have no plans to add a shade...i placed a light bulb with a 'metal' colored top to give it a pretence of 'trendy' and 'hip'...not sure if i have pulled it off but i like it :)
and just so you all know, Indie does know how lovely she is...you can tell just by her diva attitude...
i LOVE this photo, wow!
Gosh, they look beautiful together!
