we have been scuppered by a snow storm
but the grand news is,
we have power and heat again,
here's just a smidgen of pics
showing the wintery views from Mossy Shed
these past few days...
i will be back on monday, all thawed out and ready to go
(not that i'm going anywhere in particular, but as in a 'hey ho lets go' sort of way)
wishing you a spiffy and warm weekend
(unless you are in exotic climes such as Australia, then perhaps it is a little too warm and you maybe wishing for a cooler weekend, if so, then i do wish you a spiffy and cooler weekend)
Oh how I miss that white stuff
I miss the surprise of waking up to a snow covered yard :(
Enjoy it for me please
Wow, it looks so beautiful!!
Beautiful, peaceful and white.
Well, we have rain.
Grey, dark, boring rain.
xxhave a nice weekend
Hi that is rather a lot of snow!!! jennyx
I'm sure it's super cold, but given that I'm in Florida 80 degree weather, I so wish my backyard looked like your pictures! It'd be lovely to see some cool weather and snow around here! Enjoy your weekend!
It all looks very beautiful out there. Hope your weekend is warm and cozy. xx
you are so lucky the snow looks great. x
Oh, these are such pretty photos! I've never seen that much snow in person before. It's gorgeous. Cold I'm sure, but gorgeous just the same. It really looks pretty on those trees.
Love your snowy photos. He, he, the exotic climes of Australia, I'm an Aussie but haven't heard our climate described quite that way before! :) I did go to the Australia Open yesterday and instead of the blistering heat we often experience, it was a lovely cool day. Perfect for sitting in an open air arena, watching tennis greats such as Nadal and Federer do what they do best, play amazing tennis. I put some great shots of them playing on my blog if you are interest.
You have a fab weekend too,
Ha we got our power back on too... so happy for that. Two trees down in the yard, but all is well and we are toasty. Ready for winter to leave...
Australia on the line right now, as I read of your snow storm I can hear the rumblings of thunder outside my window. Ours is welcomed to cool things down a little, won't be anywhere near as pretty as yours. Stay warm & happy.
We love ya Down Under.
Such beautiful photos, I love seeing these when I am sweltering hot in Australia.
All that snow looks so pretty ..... and just for a moment I'd like some cooler weather, even though everyone else seems to like the warm weather. It's not really my cup of teach.
those trees look lovely!
wow! all that snow! i've never experienced it myself, being from the warmer climes of Australia. it looks gorgeous if maybe a tad FREEZING! keep yourself toasty and warm tif.
Beautiful photos... Especially the one through the lace. I'm a little disappointed the UK didn't see any snow this year.
We are under winter storm advisory right now. The snow is beautiful but not the ice. I can't take a power outage. The last one lasted a week and we had to move out. With two dogs that's a problem.
You have an Airstream. My mother used to do the upholstry work for them and my brother was the personal manager years ago.
Lovely, lovely photos. My favorite is the one looking out the window with the pretty hearts. So cozy. :)
Here in western Tennessee we've had temps. in the upper sixties today. So odd how different part of the country are so varied.
I think I'll opt for the warm weekend! :)
Happy weekend to you too!
Your snow photos are great! I wish we'd had as much as you. We had snow down here in Oregon too.. but not too much and it warmed up and got slushy fast. Now it's flooding and an ice storm is happening just up the road from us... I'm ready for Spring!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
The touches of color add so much to these winter scenes. Is that an aviary I see next to the Airstream?
Hey Tiff, sending you some blue skies and sunshine greetings from Oz........it's 35deg. here today
I'll swap you for some snow, you pics are gorgeous.
Enjoy your weekend....with power.
Aw......How much fun does that look Tif!!!!
(Not without the heating on though;))
best wishes for all
Thanks Tif for the frozen fairy land pictures. We are a tad hot here in Australia so thanks for the cooling pics.
Wauhhh, it looks cosy, but of course being without electricity and heat is not at all cosy.
Here in Denmark there is no sign of snow, but brhhhhhh, it´s cold any way.
Wish you a warm weekend as well
Incredible to see, tx. Also read about your weather situation on the news, as we have relatives living in that area ....
Wow, great look!!!! At our is just a snow powder :-( Have a nice time! J.
gorgeous photos, it looks like "little house in the big woods!" you're so lucky!
our power flickered but stayed on, phew. we lost it all day on Christmas, glad it didn't happen again (but I do miss using the wood stove!)
Lovely snowy pictures.
Thanks for sending the snow our way! Sincerely! We need it here in Utah. Loverly pics!
Ooohhh I am so jealous looking at all that snow, it makes me remember growing up in the Suffolk countryside in the sevnties when there would be heaps of snow every winter (sometimes my village would get snowed in....) have you laid out in the yard making dottie 'snow' angels? Hope you are having a lovely weekend xx
wonderful pics! we only could dream about snow...;)
Greetings from south of Italy
The trees do look ever so pretty weighted with snow, but I imagine you will be glad to see it melt away
Stay warm and snug as you can
Oh to be in a snow storm! You lucky lady you :o)
Pleased you have power and heat tho', no fun otherwise!
I love that photo youhave above looking out from your window. Very very pretty.
Have a happy Sunday Tif,
Take care my dear,
Love Donna xx
These pictures are all so pretty! I love the snow. We still haven't had much here in northern Minnesota - which is so odd! We normally have had tons by this point in the winter.
Greetings from the exotic climes land down under!
Your snow storm photos have done a spiffy job, offering some visual relief from the weekend's mugginess ;)
It causes a lot of mess, but is beautiful!
Love your blog!
wow. we are still waiting for a snow storm here in central indiana. yeah we have had a little snow but nothing major. come on father winter! bring it! i love snow.
looks like great sledding there.
Aww it looks so beautiful! Unless you need to go anywhere...and as long as you have heating! Still there is something about snow isnth there? Maybe it is a UK thing?
gosh! my fine and dandy readers, thank you kindly for the snow comments. yes you are quite right, it truly was pretty, despite the lack of power and heat, there is something magical about being holed upon your nest, blankets layered and candle lit with nothing to but be with your clan. 2006 we lost it for near on a week and that was a little more tricky and bitterly cold, but i always tell myself, we have a roof over our heads and we are lucky for the safety of such a thing.
anne! loved the tennis pics, gosh that must have been a fabby day well spent, i do like a bit of tennis, crappity crap at playing it, but very brilliant at watching it, especially wimbledon.
cheered me greatly to hear from so many in exotic lands! one day, some how, some way, i'll make it to your exotic Australian shores for indeed, Australia is the crafty capital of the creative world for me :)
Wow. Snow is simply...amazing. (I can say that because it doesn't actually snow where I live). Love these pictures!
It looks so beautiful! I'm so jealous we haven't had any snow this winter :(
