scuppered by a snow storm...

yes indeedy,
we have been scuppered by a snow storm
 but the grand news is,
we have power and heat again,
hurrah hooray!
here's just a smidgen of pics
showing the wintery views from Mossy Shed
these past few days...

i will be back on monday, all thawed out and ready to go
(not that i'm going anywhere in particular, but as in a 'hey ho lets go' sort of way)

wishing you a spiffy and warm weekend
(unless you are in exotic climes such as Australia, then perhaps it is a little too warm and you maybe wishing for a cooler weekend, if so, then i do wish you a spiffy and cooler weekend)

I'm sure it's super cold, but given that I'm in Florida 80 degree weather, I so wish my backyard looked like your pictures! It'd be lovely to see some cool weather and snow around here! Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, these are such pretty photos! I've never seen that much snow in person before. It's gorgeous. Cold I'm sure, but gorgeous just the same. It really looks pretty on those trees.

Love your snowy photos. He, he, the exotic climes of Australia, I'm an Aussie but haven't heard our climate described quite that way before! :) I did go to the Australia Open yesterday and instead of the blistering heat we often experience, it was a lovely cool day. Perfect for sitting in an open air arena, watching tennis greats such as Nadal and Federer do what they do best, play amazing tennis. I put some great shots of them playing on my blog if you are interest.
You have a fab weekend too,
Anne xx

Ha we got our power back on too... so happy for that. Two trees down in the yard, but all is well and we are toasty. Ready for winter to leave...

Australia on the line right now, as I read of your snow storm I can hear the rumblings of thunder outside my window. Ours is welcomed to cool things down a little, won't be anywhere near as pretty as yours. Stay warm & happy.
We love ya Down Under.

All that snow looks so pretty ..... and just for a moment I'd like some cooler weather, even though everyone else seems to like the warm weather. It's not really my cup of teach.

Beautiful photos... Especially the one through the lace. I'm a little disappointed the UK didn't see any snow this year.

We are under winter storm advisory right now. The snow is beautiful but not the ice. I can't take a power outage. The last one lasted a week and we had to move out. With two dogs that's a problem.
You have an Airstream. My mother used to do the upholstry work for them and my brother was the personal manager years ago.

Lovely, lovely photos. My favorite is the one looking out the window with the pretty hearts. So cozy. :)

Here in western Tennessee we've had temps. in the upper sixties today. So odd how different part of the country are so varied.

Happy weekend to you too!

Your snow photos are great! I wish we'd had as much as you. We had snow down here in Oregon too.. but not too much and it warmed up and got slushy fast. Now it's flooding and an ice storm is happening just up the road from us... I'm ready for Spring!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The touches of color add so much to these winter scenes. Is that an aviary I see next to the Airstream?

Wauhhh, it looks cosy, but of course being without electricity and heat is not at all cosy.

Here in Denmark there is no sign of snow, but brhhhhhh, it´s cold any way.

Wish you a warm weekend as well

Ooohhh I am so jealous looking at all that snow, it makes me remember growing up in the Suffolk countryside in the sevnties when there would be heaps of snow every winter (sometimes my village would get snowed in....) have you laid out in the yard making dottie 'snow' angels? Hope you are having a lovely weekend xx

These pictures are all so pretty! I love the snow. We still haven't had much here in northern Minnesota - which is so odd! We normally have had tons by this point in the winter.

gosh! my fine and dandy readers, thank you kindly for the snow comments. yes you are quite right, it truly was pretty, despite the lack of power and heat, there is something magical about being holed upon your nest, blankets layered and candle lit with nothing to but be with your clan. 2006 we lost it for near on a week and that was a little more tricky and bitterly cold, but i always tell myself, we have a roof over our heads and we are lucky for the safety of such a thing.

anne! loved the tennis pics, gosh that must have been a fabby day well spent, i do like a bit of tennis, crappity crap at playing it, but very brilliant at watching it, especially wimbledon.

cheered me greatly to hear from so many in exotic lands! one day, some how, some way, i'll make it to your exotic Australian shores for indeed, Australia is the crafty capital of the creative world for me :)
