gosh and just like that another clan member reaches the grand age of 18. the sun decided to shine all day and it was a lovely day to stop and take time out to spend quality family time together and let Our #2 feel most special for her big day. my folks flew from across the pond to join in with our celebrations and i am quite pleased with myself for i only did one silly thing and that silly thing was whilst drifting off last night. yes dearest readers, i dared to count the days before she too cuts the apron strings and moves to pastures new on the East Coast.
how can it be it feels only like yesterday she was born and yet here we are 18 years on with only 13 weeks left of her in our nest?
she is thinking it is only 10 days until she becomes a mother of 4 teenagers ~ Tif

Your daughter is simply adorable. Will she be the 2nd to fly the nest? I had 3 kids and now they're all married and I have 6 grandkids. You think when they're all married that you don't have to worry about them anymore, but guess what? You still do! Good luck with everything. Teresa from down under.. in Oregon
Lovely to see your darling number 2...
and my Tif...4 teenages!!!
How time flys by....I can see some quality time spent over the next 13 weeks...
and nice to see the sun shining at Mossy Shed...
Oh Tif...try not to think and calculate the days away, you'll only be sad and then won't enjoy the days you have left as much. Your daughter is beautiful. I am sure that you will be kept busy with them popping in on holidays and with the younger ones and your craft commitments the time will fly in between visits. Bittersweet!
Glad to see your no 2 is carrying on the family well-wearing tradition - must be her English heritage ... I, too, favour long socks under wellies - I am becoming convinced that I am on the way to being a style icon ...
our daughter is also moving out, school is ready, the world is waiting, mother is quietly wheeping..
Oh Tif, writing from afar. You are blessed. Wishing her all the bet there is in the world. I treasure evey moment with my little one and will be so amazed for him to reach such an age.
much love
jill
Tiff...we seem to spend our time looking forward 'to the day when' before looking back fondly 'to the time when'!
Enjoy all your precious time

My daughter (my second child of 4) turned 18 on April 25. It's a sad exciting time...I'm thinking more sad for me.
She is a truly beautiful girl! What a great job you have done, you must be very proud! xx
Oh sweetie.....'tis a month till I have a 15 year old in the house with only 3 years left with us at home.
Lately I have been thinking so much about making sure those 3 years count and have I taught her enough yet.
...atleast I have a spare 8 year old to continue to try and get it right.
Your 18 yo is truly lovely!
She is beautiful! I have 2 daughters (5 & 2). I often look at them and think I will never survive their eventual departure into their own lives. You give me hope that you can get through it.
east coast is a long way from west coast, but we here on the eastern side are very nice and she will love it here...i hope it is virginia as we are particularly nice....(!)
Happy Birthday to your darling No2.What a beautiful young lady (and, of course, a very handsome cat)
Time does indeed fly past as swift as Concorde, where did the years go? Enjoy every day dear Tif.

Oh, she is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I think they are their best at 18! I so love your blog, Tif. Just makes me smile on so many days.
Fondly,
Suz
She is darling. I don't believe in "letting go." I'd probably be happier if I did.
Bless you Tiff, she's gorgeous and so are you - too young to have 4 teenagers!
what a sweet photo. and what a sweet little blog! Thanks for sharing.
xx Amy
Congratulations to your beautiful eighteen year old daughter! Have a lovely day!
Lieve groet, Madelief
Gosh, and here I am feeling emotional because my #1 has started full time school, and #2 will be off to kindergarten next year...everyone says they grow up too fast, and they really do don't they.
Would love to know if your girl/s love to crochet and sew like you? I am only just now (in my mid 30's) learning crochet from my mum, who taught herself at the age of 19. I only wish I had learnt sooner!
Gorgeous birthday photos!
Tracey :)
Oh, I feel this, I really do. So brave to have them at all, and so difficult to let them go. I've got one off to college in the fall too. Off to Savannah, Georgia she'll go... sigh.
she's adorable! cheers to a bright future for her:)
Oh no, not another! :( Bittersweetness.
you are writing so lovely. i gotta cry.
gosh my dearest readers, thank you once again for so many birthday wishes and indeed understanding of those pesky apron strings which tug at a mother's heart :)
