whilst working on my little shop update this morning,
twiddling my thumbs,
humming a little tune,
inbetween photo uploads
a little voice kept talking to me.
i told the little voice i was terribly busy
updating,
twiddling
and
humming
but the little voice would not go away...
in the end i sat back in my desk chair,
and said
"all right little voice in my head,
just say what you have to say
and
then leave me alone"
"it is quite simple"
said the little voice
"your desk color looks all wrong with the rest of your studio, go on take a look"
i took a look
and now all i can think of is how my large over sized second hand
as peachy as it is,
is letting the side down in my studio...

I love the green desk though. But I'm sure whatever color you paint it will look lovely. You have quite the eye for color.
just stumbled upon your blog. I'm enjoying it. I'm assuming there will be an unveiling of the desk in its new hue?
love the new items in your shop! interested to see what color your boeing desk turns out to be.
lol i also have that 'little voice' commenting about my decoration and color choices all the time! but don't you love it?
^_^
Dear Tif...
I do hope it will be ready for a bench monday photo maybe...
I love when you brighten your furniture...
I am wondering now...will it be "knicker pink" or "birdie blue"...
Working your make-over magic yet again, I see....can't wait to see the finished product!
How do you find the time? :-p
How cute..I will look forward to a photo. :0)
Have a wonderful UN-crappity crap day..hehe I love that twist on words. :0)

all i can say dearest readers is, i'm thinking the little voice was indeed the 'little voice of insanity'...
I've spent a wee while on your blog now looking through your old posts. I've been so well entertained with your writing and gorgeous, colourful interiors that I just had to comment to say a big thanks. I've linked you so I can come back; hope you don't mind xoxo
hehehe....at least the little voice wasn't telling you to do anything illegal ;)What color is it now do tell??
Where oh where did you find your hangers for your crochet covered hangers? I want to make them and cannot find them!
tut tut...child labour?? go on, let's see!
take care
Yesterday I escaped work...the family had an outing to a wonderful old textile mill which contains an amazing shop...I was drifting from table to table and picked up a craft magazine...flicked through and there you were...it was so exciting and I had no one to tell...the family had vanished...so I shall tell you and do my squealing in the comfort of my home where nobody takes any notice...
Oh but I absolutely *love* your green desk! But I can't wait to see what color it will be next time you show it to us. :)
ps. *Love* the rest of your studio as well, I'm just a wee bit jealous now. :)
indeed i'm thinking little olive is harder work than any of my children were at such a young age... i have spent the best part of my afternoon painting way too many coats that were required to hide the green, with little olive sitting upon my lap not aiding in any way... but what can one expect from a pesky little puppy just a few weeks off from turning one :)
I love the photos of your studio Tif; it would please me to be able to spend long hours in there twiddling my thumbs - humming a little tune - and listening to a little voice ...... with a puppy on my knee! You had a lovely Monday .... I wonder what Tuesday will bring .... just what colour will your hardworking desk end up as? Love Val
i love that desk. stop meddling! x
fran.... "ha ha haaa" said in an evil crackily voice whilst rubbing my hands together with glee
"tooooo late! tee hee"
and the color is.... ummm, i'm not telling just yet. another 'tee hee'
I love your blog! And I liked the green desk, but I'm excited to see the new color. Good luck with the coats of paint.
