today Used Dog is in hospital for an operation.
we have told her to be brave
we have told her "we love you Used Dog"
and now all we can do is keep our fingers and paws crossed
(a little tricky for a little critter with limbs on the short side)
and wait patiently for Used Dog to come back home to mossy shed so we can feel whole again
~ Tif and Little Olive
Feline paws & human fingers are crossed over here. Good luck Used Dog! Hang in there Little Olive!

ReplyDeleteOh my, everything is crossed for used dog. Might I just say that my other half (at my request) bought me your book for my birthday. It is most wonderful and I am very sad to have reached the end. However, it is still next to my bed in my newly decorated bedroom (yours was the first book read in there) and I know I shall re-read. Thank you for the immense enjoyment.

ReplyDeleteHello Sweet Girl,
ReplyDeleteHope your big dog will be A O K very soon. As I type to you I have a 60# English bulldog (Pearl) napping, snoring, on my lap with our little Pug (Monkee) napping away on top of her. Makes for slow ackward typing. Hugs to you and your furry babies.
Oh Used Dog, a little prayer for a good outcome. We're rooting for you. Nico and Pippin, 2 used dogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you Used Dog.....hope you are okay.
ReplyDeletei am happy to say, as of this evening, Used Dog made it through her op! she is still tres unwell and will take a few weeks to mend, she is back home for the night and will be back in hospital tomorrow as a 'day patient'.
ReplyDeleteand then we play a game of wait and see, to know the outcome of the tests. we have high hopes here in mossy shed. please continue to keep all fingers and paws crossed in the coming weeks, i know this can be tres tricky whilst doing every day things, but Used Dog really truly appreciates you doing so, and so do i and little olive too :)

Tif,Dan my used dog, me and Norman, Bill and Tom, my feline fur boys are crossing everything for your beautiful doglet's safe and healthy return. How fab that you are with him in his hour of need, stroking his ears..tell Olive all will be well...sending hugs and lots of positive energy..Anne xx
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of love, wishes and hugs from the far east.......xx
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I have just found your blog and I gasped with excitement... is that a dachshund? I have never seen one like that. I have two mini longs, a black&tan and a red, and normally if I see another dachshund on the street (rare enough in these parts) I have to stop and say hello, so this is me stopping on the street and saying Hello!! (Part of me is wondering if it's a wee shorthaired dachshund crossed with a jack russell?)
ReplyDeleteI hope Used Dog gets better soon and I'm sure she will enjoy all the much needed lovely attention and strokes and company. My friends doggie had knee surgery a few months ago and they took turns to sleep on the couch during the night to keep her company (as she wasn't allowed to go upstairs on her recovering knee) so lying next to her is most definitely perfectly sane.
So glad I found your blog, it is beautiful. Can't wait to read more (just need a few more hours in the day!).
Lots of love to Used Dog and Little Olive, and not forgetting you!
Helen xx
I so much hope the used dog recovers very soon, our pets are part of our family and makes are life much greater and amazing. I hope he or she gets better soon and start playing around with the little one again. By the way did you get the knob? I have sent a few parcels to the States and Canada and they seems to be getting for ever, please let me know. Tif you got such a good taste I admire your sense of style and the huge amount of creativity you hold in your body.
ReplyDeletehellie :)
ReplyDeleteyes little olive is dachshund, she is called a pie bald and until i came to the states i had never seen so many different coloured daxies!

yes yes! it turned up safely two days ago, it looks the bees knees, i'll be in touch soon and many thanks :)
