in disguise...

when is a printer not a printer, dearest readers?
when it is wearing a little...

'granny chic'

cozy

i am thinking it most important to treat all my appliances and electronics with the utmost of kindness from now on...
and so i have set forth into my shed, offering up words of appreciation and encouragement wherever needed to my mechanical friends, so that they may continue to 'support me' with what i require of them for the coming year...

if this means i shall spend the year crafting cozies from barkcloth and yarn to keep them 'loved and warm' then so be it.
after all, i am thinking perhaps we could all do with a little bit of appreciation and encouragement from time to time...

she is thanking you most kindly for giving her 'some' of late... especially in the 'nostril and challenges' department ~ Tif

  3. tif the brilliant I say. I'm just sitting here with my mouth hanging open and thinkin I should have thunk of that but fortunately someone did think of it, you did I mean. So now I am excited to cozy up my appliances and electronics with scraps of barkcloth. Will Mrpeachez mind a cozy on his stereo, because it really is quite unattractive even though it does make lovely sounds.

  7. Hi Tif, gorgeous blog and pics as usual. I thought of you last week, I was visiting Wells and there is a shop there called The Laundry which sells the most gorgeous clothes, Avoca amongst others. Anyhow she has an independent designer named Frou-Frou who makes the most divine dresses and coats from vintage fabrics. And new for this season are coats made from vintage cloth just like you love and used for your printer cover. I have googled and it would appear that Frou Frou doesn't have a website (boohoo!) but honest, next time you are in ole'blighty take a trip to Wells! Kathy PS. Please please stock your shop with slips!!!

  9. Love it!
Certainly all those grey/black technical items should have pretty lace trimmed cosies to keep them happy. I think I may have to go pretty-up the excess of stainless steel gadgets in our kitchen....
    Happy Weekend!

PS: Now this is spooky - my word verification is the postal name of the county I live in: BANES ... is the cyber world trying to tell me something???

sorry for any 'posting comments' issues you may be having, it happens from time to time upon my blog and for the life of me i can never figure out why... i put it down to whether my little blog is having an 'off' day or not. and quite honestly we all have those once in a while :)
