When I was younger, my best friend's mother bred golden retrievers. I just have a new furry friend, a little black dog known as the Little Stranger, and she most certainly is the little furry friend of my dreams, and I must not forget the Mad Dog who sadly belongs to the Ploughboy and she will depart next summer when he goes to plough pastures new (arable inclinations, so probably yes, ploughing up pasture, but you never know). And so in my dream world I stride along with a loyal Mad Dog by my side, and a flock of little black dogs skittering at my heels, with the Little Stranger striding bossily at their head, and all kept in check by the Mad Dog and her eyes, which fix you with the most deep and soul searching gaze.

I notice that the odds of winning are sadly very small, but I have found your encouragement to me to dream most fortifying, and for that I thank you.

Pomona xPomonahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18399181139470676975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698879802773566105.post-78477382780779562382011-09-06T01:50:47.981-07:002011-09-06T01:50:47.981-07:00Miss Tif,

It's Kav...Thank you for such a great give away! It's Kavka here :-) My story can be not so interesting because I'm a lucky girl who has four paws friends around me, and this is a story about it:

I lived in the center of the big, loud city 5 years ago. I had two cats: a girl and a boy. A girl called Konik was from the shelter and boy Antoszek was taken as a small kitty from bad, cruel people. We lived in 4 (with my beloved husban) in a small flat and were very happy, but my biggest dream was to have more pets around me. So we had to take men's decision and… bought old wooden house in the countryside. And the dreams came truth: 3 new cats (Koksik, Koko & Paproszek), 2 new dogs (Fika & Mania) have appeared. (I have still plans for a goat who will be called Forsycja some day, but don't tell my husband :-) One day Konik and Mania decided to change a climate and moved to my parents house, but I can visit them any time I want.
Pets are my great inspirations, I made many illustrations with Mania and her tea party some time ago, I love invent story when my 4 boys (Antosz, Koksik, Koko & Paproszek) are the main heroes, draw a portraits of my beloved little girl Fika. They are all my life and my big love.
You can see all of them on my blog (kavkadesign.blogspot.com) if you want :-)

And one more story about someone special. I had very special friend 14 years ago. It was a wild jay bird, found by my husband in the park during his way back from work. It was a little bird, who fell out of the nest after big storm. We made her small cosy nest in our living room, fed like her parents used to do it (we hope so), tried to learn everything… our only defeat was that we couldn't learn her how to fly :-( She became a beautiful bird. We called her Julia and spend with her as much time as possible. Julia had everything she needed, done what she wanted to do, loved jazz music and sang beautifully. She behaved a little like a dog walked with us step by step. We loved her so much and I'm sure she loved us, she gave us so much happiness and I hope we gave her the same.

I wish everybody good luck and great new weekkavkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14985214503324763390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698879802773566105.post-59359464477808580942011-09-05T09:29:52.386-07:002011-09-05T09:29:52.386-07:00My ideal future critter would be a baby beluga. The second time he broke his jaw and had to wear a metal head brace. This has left Alan with a permanent drippy nose, runny eye and wonky jaw.
Alan likes nothing more than to sit on a crochet blanket on my knee watching horror films. His favorite snack is anything with a tomato based sauce such as baked beans or a nice homemade bolonaise. Alan is terrified of tin foil and anything that sprays.

Alan likes to dissapear for hours on end and we often wondered where he was spending his time. This question was answered for us when we settled down to watch an eipisode of 'Wife swap' one night. This is not something we would normally do however this episode featured our neighbour of a few doors down who was a British glamour model and pop singer in the 80's. We were halfway through watching when who should we see reclining on the sofa of 80's popstar neighbours house with not a care in the world? Alan.

Congrats with the book.
