letting the cat out of the bag...

dottie angel's adopted auntie lives in an old gray cottage by a babbling brook. she spends her day wisely with hook and yarn in hand. on occasion she feels the itch to stitch and on those days she can be found beavering away with her trusty sewing machine Mr Bill making 'high hope' flags

she is quite happy to note the shop window is looking springified despite the rain outside ~ Tif

  7. You might be amused by the discussion of words relating to what the cat is standing under in this picture on http://separatedbyacommonlanguage.blogspot.com/2011/04/bunting.html
It helped me understand your urge to hang up decorations in honor of the royal wedding. Until rather recently, it would not have been very common in the US to decorate in this way. It seems all the rage now. I quite like them (whatever we call them) in all there many permutations. I like the idea of "high hope" flags.
Cat/Bag. As long as choice is involved, cats rather like being in bags. However, the concept of letting them out doesn't apply, as they will get out when they please, as ever. And if choice is not involved, woe be those responsible.
