the day olive comes to stay...

and so it came to pass in a small town outside of seattle,
'little olive' the other dog, came to reside at mossy shed...

do not let these pictures deceive you, 'little olive' at only 10 weeks old is already in training for christmas, when she hopes to put her huge ears to good use by being 'the other reindeer' for santa.

i have a few months to crochet some antlers so she passes 'reindeer inspection' but at the moment being in close proximity to 'yarn' is causing me to feel quite faint...

she is off to fight for space infront of the electric fan with her children ~ Tif

  13. What a sweet dog! Our little dog is name Olive, too. We thought she looked too much like the dog in the book to name her anything else.

  16. What a little cutie!
I don’t wish to cast aspersions upon Olive’s parentage but I’m guessing dachshund/terrier?

  21. My friend, Julie told me about you....so here I am. I love your site....and even more..I LOVE you "Little Olive". What a doll..she is adorable....What a lucky dog. I just love seeing a dog get a good home. I have my blind 14 year old (have had him since he was 8 weeks old) red toy poodle, Butterscocth. He is laying on my lap right now. My baby ! My life!
We call him Buddy. Julie knows Buddy very well.....

    I'll check back later.
Have a great first weekend of August.
    Best,

  23. Oooh! She is so cute and I love her name! Best of luck with all the puppy stuff. Sending lots of thoughts for lots of patience! ;) She's so darn cute.

I love dachshunds. I've never seen one with this coloring! Last year, I was eyeing up the miniature ones (teacup) but I'm not sure if I'm ready for a house dog yet (with all this construction still going on)!

  24. Hi,
I came by way of Soule Mama. Are you in the Seattle area. I've been living here for 3 years and I have yet to find a truly great art store and fabric store.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Jill

  26. Olive is really quite delightful! I too am approaching menopause at great speed and find of late that I am increasingly drawn to pictures of sweet puppies and other such creatures and have, I confess, gathered an alarming assortment of such images amongst my 'flickr faves'. Perhaps I should I seek help?!@

  27. little olive 'the other dog' is so warmed by your lovely greetings...
and jill, if you read this (as i didn't quite know how to contact you), as far as i know there are no really amazing fabric stores in seattle. although someone reading this' may know of one and beable to correct me on my 'assumption'... there are little stores that carry small ranges. i know of one in the queen anne district, but that's all. this is why i mainly work with old linens :) sorry not much help there...

  29. oh miss tif! ...she is just so perfect and cute and adorable and sweet and perfect and i imagine a whole lot of fun!

funny you mentioned beagles... they have been on our mind of late, but now that i've seen little miss olive i'm wondering if a daschund would be more suitable... ;)

btw, did you see the wee blog feature sfgirlbybay did about our 'all colours in...' flickr group!? ...i wondered where the flurry of activity was coming from!

anyway, i'm rambling on here... have a great day with your wee furry pals... :)
